Well it is getting close and a few things have happened.
I met my Surgeon. She is a tiny and very nice doctor with the ability to listen. YES, finally a Orthopedic surgeon who listens and cares about what the patient wants. Not that some others on the island do not. I just have not met them yet. Now she was firm, and matter of fact about what I need and what she thinks. I realized that when she greeted me with a FIRM handshake. The grip does not match the rest of her. Although that will come in handy when she is crafting her work on me with a hammer, screwdriver, saw, etc. I will be awake during the procedure. That was my request. I have assisted with a lot of these procedures and told her I may come in handy in case she needs me to hold something. I told her I am having a lot of pain. She says that a lot of her patients go home on Tylenol, so I am ready to get this done. She said I will be limited in what I can do for about 3 - 4 weeks. I will also be in the hospital in Waimea for 3 days. I tried to get her to let me go home next day but she said no. Not sure if my partner paid her to keep me or not. He gets a vacation from me so hope he enjoys before I get home cause I have doctors orders to not do anything..got it. Wait on me. All about me. Just kidding. I forgot to ask, How long before I can get in the Ocean? Next time I will take a list. Write and ask anything.. I will answer and would love to talk story. Live Aloha Out There and if you need a Nurse, Realtor, Minister, CPR, or just someone to listen. Hit me up. David / Kawika

When people call me and ask about services like water and sewer, I tell them the truth and they usually pause, and go WHAT? I tell them it is all natural and a beautiful thing.
Rainwater catchment is an age-old method of catching rain from a surface (generally, a rooftop) and transporting it through a conveyance system (usually gutters and downspouts) to a storage container. This water can be used for domestic supplies, agriculture, landscape, water features (like fountains), public supply, or storm runoff control. In Hawaii, most rainwater catchments are used for domestic water supply and agriculture. The process of harvesting the rain is experiencing a resurgence in the U.S. and throughout the world as global warming and population growth threaten our limited fresh-water supplies. With todays filtration systems and UV, you just can not beat mother nature. There are guidelines in the links section of this website that will help you understand it further. When they ask where does the water come from, I say " Over the Rainbow " as a matter of fact. And then there is the POO. We have a variety of systems here and one is the pool. Just a big hole in the ground. There are limitations based on size of the lot and how close it is to the ocean. When to close for comfort of the county to protect the neighbor and our beautiful ocean, a septic system is required. The pool never needs pumped because we have this natural lava that is full of holes and a natural filtration system built right in. Just right and made by mother nature for when mother nature calls, or POO visits. Number 2 goes without saying much accept if you are on catchment and not much rain to fill the tank, well you may want to ask what the house rules are for number 2. When water is scarce then you do not want to flush good water down too frequently. Sometimes behind the bush outside is a conservative approach. Go Green on the Green, number 2 I mean. but do be shy and not in front of aunties eye. Be kind everybody. David Deweese R B RN Owner Aloha coast Realty and a couple other things. 808-896-5623 |
