Some have said " Oh we go off island for that", " Not at that Hospital", " Not on the Big Island ". Well here I go and will let you know. I am a RN and a real estate Broker. I have lived here for 11 years and have heard it all, about health care on the island, lava flows, bad areas, catchment, and where does the poo go? So I am going to start sharing.
I have worked at Hilo Medical Center and witnessed a lot of good and bad. I also have work all over the mainland and it is no different there, unless you have a lot of money and can get the luxury treatment. So I need a Hip replaced. Some are saying, " You are not getting it done here are you? " and the answer is yes. I just met with a very informed Surgeon in Waimea and she is going to give me my new hip on Sept 26th. I will talk about it in a very open way and let you know exactly how each step of the process goes and my recommendation after. David Deweese RN RB Registered Nurse, Real Estate Broker, Owner Aloha Coast Realty, Hilo HI Island Ohana Nursing, 808CARE
